Three Days Grace administer their “Painkiller” to a sold out show

Playing to a sold out show and streaming on Yahoo Live to possible millions of people that could not get tickets and fans that live far from Sioux Falls, SD, the Canadian rock band Three Days Grace did not disappoint all the fans that crowded in at The District venue. Playing their huge classic 3DG songs like “Home”, “Good Life” and “Riot”, they also added to lineup of amazing songs their new #1 hit “Painkiller”.  The addition of Matt Walst to the 3DG family was an obvious and great choice. His energetic personality on stage is addicting and his great looks have attracted more and more female fans. I had a chance to speak to Bradley Walst, bass player and Matt’s older brother, and we joked about getting Matt on something like 17 Magazine for being a heartthrob. There is no question that Matt has solidified the spot of lead singer for the band.  Great lyrics, wailing guitars, heart-pounding bass lines and the hard drumbeats were non-stop and the amazing drum solo by Neil Sanderson brought the house down. Constant chants of “Three Days Grace” by the crowd and a cheering contest by the females and males in the crowd was deafening.

The night started out with Adelitas Way and Aussie band Sick Puppies rocking out and getting the crowd revved up for the evenings headliner.  Both opening bands have new music out now, “Stuck” by Adelitas Way and “Connect” by Sick Puppies are out now and both available on iTunes as is the new 3DG ‘Painkiller”.The headlining show was streaming live on Yahoo Live Concerts and received great reviews and a large stream of fans watching all over the world.

If you haven’t had the chance to see 3DG live and they are coming to a city near you, get out there and check out a show, you will not be disappointed.  This is one of the best shows I have seen this year and I hope I can see them again soon!
